Flushed with success at the V Festival. Find out how we raised money thanks to a clean loo.

The music, atmosphere and quality of the V Festival in Chelmsford was fantastic. Less lovely though was probably the smell and state of the festival toilets....

But help was at hand! The J's Hospice hired a toilet for the weekend and kept it clean and fresh. We charged £2 a time and the queues started forming almost immediately. Many people even moaned about why we only had one loo!

Along with collecting used beer cups and donations from giant garden games, a total of £2,385 was raised for The J's Hospice.

Many thanks to all the volunteers who took part, picked up used beer cups, got soaked and enjoyed the music.
