A pub, fete, music and St George PDF Print E-mail

What have a Writtle fete, a village pub, a music festival and the Royal Society of St George all got in common?

They've all raised money for The J's Hospice recently. The White Hart pub in Billericay held a music festival in July. Money is still coming in, but it could be in the region of £1500.

At another pub, The Pig and Whistle in Chingnal Smealy, they held a series of pub quiz nights which helped to raise £1000.

The Writtle Fete brought in a total of around £750 including £250 on the tombola.

The Toothill show raised £180 and we made some good contacts on the day.

The Royal Society of St George presented us with a cheque for £750.

Many thanks to everyone involved, all your hard work and generosity is greatly appreciated.
