The J's Hospice is asking Essex based runners who have gained a place in the London Marathon 2012 to consider nominating The J's Hospice as their charity of choice. Last year The J's Hospice had a silver bond place in the Marathon and this was taken by 19 year old Poppy Church (pictured above with her father Steve) who achieved a time of 5h 6mins in her first ever marathon and raised an incredible £8,176 for The J's. However, it is only possible to have a silver bond place every 5 years so to maintain the funds from this prestigious event this coming year The J's needs runners who have been successful in the recently announced ballot to choose The J's as their charity. If you are able to choose The J's we will provide support in your fundraising, a J's T Shirt for training, a named running vest and access to the Help the Hospices hospitality area, encouragment and support on the day. Every penny raised will go towards helping young adults with life limiting conditions receive the care and support they need. If you are interested in running for The J's please contact Nick Garner on 01245 351514 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
